CASELCO

Work and Wellbeing in the Uckermark

Shared workspace (coworking) and relaxation (coliving) in a unique cultural landscape between wide fields and deep forests, set within a traditional village with historic orchards.

A 120-year-old farmhouse is currently being transformed into a modern ensemble of versatile workspaces, featuring two holiday homes and many offers to relax and enjoy.

High-speed internet, wheelchair and disability accessibility, ergonomic office furniture, 24/7 access, EV charging stations, a coffee bar, lounge areas and quiet retreats will facilitate carefree working and creative thinking starting in 2028.

Current Construction Phase

Project Concept

CASELCO is being created in the heart of the Caselower Heide. Step by step a former farm is being transformed into a place for working and temporary living – without new construction or disruption of the village community.

The people behind the scenes.

The idea of CASELCO was conceived by Dr. Holger Remde, a physician and real estate developer and Dr. Undine Lieberwirth, an archaeologist and geoinformatics specialist.

Sustainability and Responsibility

Instead of building anew, the farmhouse, barn and stable are being carefully developed and equipped with modern technology.

Photovoltaics, climate-friendly heating and wastewater systems, as well as a sustainable approach to gardens, meadows, and water are all part of the concept. Short commutes for locals or long-term living and working as an alternative to daily commuting enable a slower-paced togetherness between those tired of the big city and rural residents. The result is a place that works perfectly today and still makes sense tomorrow.

Keeping the next generation in the region.

Protecting the traditional village structure.

Countering structural vacancy in the village.

Participation in a self-determined life.
